// Scoring

How points work.

Five swipes a day. Each correct call lands you points. The model is simple enough to keep in your head and rich enough to reward conviction.

The base

Calling the correct outcome (home win, draw, away win) is worth a base 10 points. Wrong picks are 0 — never negative. The worst a bad day costs you is the points you missed, never points you already had.

The crowd bonus

If you called the less-popular correct result, we add up to +10 scaled by how hard you swiped. The bigger the upset and the firmer your conviction, the bigger the bonus.

bonus = ((100 − crowd%) / 100) × swipe_strength × 10, rounded, capped at 10.

The exact-score bonus

After a winner swipe you can optionally tap the exact score: a quick stepper for each side. Nail the final score and you get a flat +25. We call this a Bang On.

Streaks

Lock in and resolve at least one call on a match day and your streak goes up by one. Miss a day with matches available and your streak breaks — or burns a streak-freeze if you have one.

Free tier: one streak-freeze per month, auto-replenished on the 1st. Pro: unlimited streak-freezes. Days with no matches in your mode never break your streak.

Tiers

A rolling 14-day average of your daily scores sorts you into a tier — Sunday Leaguer, Pundit, Gaffer, Manager, Maestro. Tiers survive a single bad day; they're the long-term identity layer on top of the daily score.

Leaderboards

Three places your daily score lands: Global (the whole planet), Local (your country or region), and Leagues (your private friend leagues). Worldwide #1 is fun. Topping your city is real.

What doesn't earn points

Time spent in the app. Sharing your slip. Inviting friends. Hitting Pro. None of these dirty the leaderboard — Belmundo is a prediction game, not an engagement farm.
