Terms of Service

Effective 23 May 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and Belmundo, a free daily soccer prediction game. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Belmundo. Operator and contact details are on our Legal & Contact.

What Belmundo is — and isn't

A free game of skill and football intuition. You make daily predictions, earn points, build streaks, and climb leaderboards.
Not gambling. There are no wagers, no stakes, no money in, and no cash prizes out. You never risk money on a prediction. The rewards are bragging rights and your rank.
Not affiliated with FIFA, UEFA, or any league, club, or governing body. “World Cup” and “FIFA World Cup” are marks of FIFA; we claim no affiliation or endorsement.

Eligibility & your account

You must be 16 or older (or the digital-consent age in your country).
Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
One account per person. Don't impersonate others.

Acceptable use

Use Belmundo for personal, non-commercial fun.
Don't scrape, automate, reverse-engineer, or overload the API or leaderboard.
Don't choose a handle or league name that impersonates someone, contains slurs, or is otherwise abusive — we may moderate or rename it.
Don't try to manipulate the scoring engine. We roll back fraudulent points and may ban accounts for persistent cheating, without refund.

Pro subscription

Optional Belmundo Pro unlocks extra features. Pricing (around $3.99/month, or a discounted annual plan) is shown at checkout in your local currency, set via Stripe.
Free trial: 7 days. We collect a payment method at trial start and charge at trial end unless you cancel first.
Renewal & cancellation: subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime from your account; you keep Pro until the paid period ends. No re-charge after cancellation.
EU right of withdrawal: by starting to use Pro during the 14-day withdrawal window you ask us to begin the service immediately; you may still withdraw within 14 days for a pro-rated refund of the unused portion. Beyond that, email team@belmundo.app within 7 days of any charge and we'll make it right.

Friend leagues & user content

You can create or join friend leagues (“Circles”). The host sets the name; we reserve the right to moderate names or content that breach these terms.
Your handle, calls, and stats are yours. You grant us the limited right to display them in leaderboards, shareable cards, and league views as part of running the game.

What we don't promise

That match scores are always correct in real time. We rely on third-party data providers (football-data.org, API-Football). When a provider corrects a result, our resolution job re-runs and your points adjust accordingly.
Zero downtime. We aim high, but the World Cup will stress the system.
That a streak, rank, or badge persists forever.

Intellectual property

The Belmundo name, the bracket mark, the pitch-green design system, the swipe mechanic, and the editorial voice are ours and are protected. You may not copy or reuse them without permission. Football data belongs to its respective providers and rights-holders.

Liability

Belmundo is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, missed match-days, upstream data errors, or temporary ranking glitches during outages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for intent, gross negligence, or personal injury). For Pro subscribers, our aggregate liability is capped at what you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Suspension & termination

You can delete your account anytime at /profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or harm other players. On termination, the data-handling in our Privacy Policy applies.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the effective date and, for material changes, notify Pro subscribers by email at least 14 days ahead and post an in-app notice for everyone. If you don't agree, you can cancel or delete your account.

Governing law

Belmundo is currently run by its four co-founders as individuals; a formal operating entity and governing-law jurisdiction will be established before public launch. Until then, any dispute is handled directly and in good faith — email team@belmundo.app. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
